Timeball TowerWilliamstown is a vibrant easy walking/riding environment surrounded by water on three sides, and just minutes by car or train to the Melbourne CBD. From Stephanies you'll be able to walk to cafes, restaurants, galleries and historic attractions.

Williamstown's maritime history is evident everywhere. See the cannons on The Strand stand sentry over Hobson's Bay. The WW2 minesweeper and museum ship, HMAS Castlemaine, is open for visitors at Gem Pier, Nelson Place Williamstown.

If you have a little more time, we recommend taking a ferry for a more leisurely trip into Melbourne.  Regular ferries depart Williamstown and take you up the Yarra River stopping at several locations in the Melbourne CBD.
